Both Diego Boneta and Jackson Rathbone had big years in 2012, the former breaking out in the jukebox musical Rock of Ages and the latter putting on his vampire makeup for the last time in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, and now the two stars are joining forces for the new thriller The Dead Men.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Kirk Sullivan, a longtime assistant to mega-producer Joel Silver, will be making his directorial debut with the film, which is based on a script by fellow newcomer Andrew Poston. The trade says that the story follows “an American running from his past who is brought into a group of young underground radicals called The Dead Men, only to discover a centuries-old spiritual battle.” Sounds like there is definitely some kind of supernatural element in play – though it’s hard to say what genre it will fall into. Unfortunately there is no mention of what individual roles Boneta or Rathbone will play in the movie, or when they are planning to start production.
Since the end of Twilight, Rathbone has continued his work on the webseries Aim High and has completed work on both the Michael Kristoff-directed drama Live at the Foxes Den and Pece Dingo’s romantic comedy The Concerto. Boneta, who originally hails from Mexico, has returned to work on the small screen, starring on the MTV series Underemployed. Prior to starring in Rock of Ages, which was his theatrical feature debut, he played roles on the reborn 90210 and Pretty Little Liars.

Moskal said some TV pilots were being filmed in Chicago in April or recently completed filming, including an ABC show called “Doubt.”
“Two others that are currently shooting are ‘Betrayal’ and ‘Influence,’ and we also just finished production on ‘Sirens,’ that Denis Leary is an executive producer on,” he said.
The ongoing NBC show “Chicago Fire” is still shooting its first season in Chicago, and will be back for next season.
Even though a number of Chicago-based shows have been cancelled – including Fox’s “The Mob Doctor,” Starz network’s “Boss,” and MTV’s “Underemployed” – Moskal said Chicago continues to be a popular location for filming.
“It’s a gamble in terms of what’s gonna stick as a full-time series, and what’s gonna get pulled off the air,” he said. “The fact that we get repeat business from all these various networks – Fox, NBC, ABC – all of them keep bringing other projects back, which is a good indication for us.”
